Prioritizing Customer Satisfaction and Planet Protection
Concerned about the impact on our environment, la Chaumiere Lodge tries as much as possible, to act in an ecologically responsible way:
• The heating system operates using wood pellets, a fossil free and cleaner-burning renewable fuel, emitting fewer greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide, and air pollutants. Wood pellets are made from recycled wood waste, minimising their impact on deforestation.
• We use a zero-emission clean energy source for our electricity.
• We are restricting and recycling our wastes as much as possible: glass, plastic, paper, cardboard, metal, aluminium, old batteries, light bulbs, etc.
• We use LED lights, timers or motion detectors, biodegradable household products.
• Water consumption is regulated in eco mode throughout the hotel. This saves water used in showers, washbasins, toilets, the kitchen, laundry, etc. We make our guests aware of their environmental impact by encouraging them to limit the frequent replacement of towels...
• We offer customers as often as possible fresh local products for breakfast and at the restaurant.
